The Opportunity:

SureCall is recruiting an experienced Staff Accountant with a deep understanding of accounting that will be responsible for accounts payable and payroll. The ideal candidate will be a professional team player dedicated to building effective working relationships with employee, vendors, and partners.

The Staff Accountant will report to the Controller, and be based at the company’s headquarters in Fremont, CA.

Primary Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate for this position will have a well-rounded accounting background and have strong organizational, and communication skills. Day-to-day duties include:
  • Accurate and timely process the Company’s payroll.
  • Perform month-end close responsibilities including journal entries, account reconciliations and account/variance analysis as needed.
  • Cash flow analysis and forecast.
  • Work with team members to continuously improve accounting processes.
  • Support the business with special projects including but not limited to technology implementations and assessing reporting impact of accounting standard changes.
  • Protect the Company by keeping information confidential.
  • Review GL coding and cost center assignment to ensure correct management reporting.
  • Review expenses at a cost center level for accuracy and understanding of key trends.
  • Maintain and approve transactions for corporate credit cards.
  • Assist with external audit requests.
  • Support cost center management with data and reporting.
  • Create ad-hoc reports and analyses as applicable.
  • Ensure that all payments and costs are recorded according to company policy and internal control guidelines.

Professional Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting and payroll.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to coordinate across multiple business functions.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and a self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out productive interactions with multiple stakeholders including employees, vendors, and partners.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with knowledge of advanced formulas and functions preferred.
  • Experience working with ADP and NetSuite preferred.
  • Participant in systems implementations and integrations.
  • Sense of urgency, hands-on approach, and "go-getter" attitude.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
