The Dilemma
Updating two floors and 40,000 combined square footage of offices for a multi-carrier 4G data solution in a metal framed and concrete walled manufacturing plant in West Michigan. Complete cell phone signal coverage from all major providers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, etc.) throughout management offices, sales office, conference rooms, and workshop area.
The Solution: SureCall Force5™
The Challenge
A large office and production plant of a ready-to-eat food company in Holland, MI, wanted to update two floors of 20,000 square feet each with enhanced LTE, or 4G cellular data coverage, in addition to the 3G voice amplification system they had put into place approximately a year before. They contacted Central Interconnect, the business communications specialist which had installed the original system. Because they had installed enhanced cellular coverage a relatively short time ago, they needed a cost-effective solution for expanding cell amplification and they needed it to support all carriers for their management and sales team and any of their customers that might be visiting their offices on-site.
Central Interconnect offered their customer the SureCall Force5™, the first self-contained 5-band cellular amplifier, which is 1/5th the cost of comparable models so it met their customer’s cost requirements. That it also takes up 1/5th the space comparable models didn’t hurt either.
Desmond Mathiasz, Central Interconnect’s Sales Engineer for the project, and with 18 years’ overall experience in high level A/V telecommunications, immediately saw the high quality in SureCall's cell amplifier products and saw how his company could take advantage by using them. “They’re an easy fit for our business and as all our installers are trained in coaxial cable termination, it makes sense.” Mathiasz continued, “What with 4G becoming more prominent, I can see us installing more SureCall amplifiers as part of Central Interconnect’s turnkey A/V communications solutions."
The Result
With Central Interconnect’s expertise and SureCall’s Force5, sales engineer, Desmond Mathiasz was able to give his ready-to-eat food customer a high-quality and cost-effective solution for a total 3G-4G cell amplification solution. It gives food for thought, next time a business has an appetite for a cell enhancement answer. The recently installed SureCall CM2020-68 system that supports 3G didn’t go to waste either. These were installed at two of their other plants that had no cell phone coverage and needed a solution.
